2010-07-27 | Custom formwork „Made in Germany"
In the construction of highly sophisticated shapes and surfaces with cast-in-situ concrete, even flexible system formwork eventually arrives at the geometric limits to its use. This is where custom formwork carpenters take over, fabricating tailor-made wooden forms with time-honored carpentry skills. This traditional craft is now on the ascendant as a result of the trend toward building elements with increasingly elaborate geometries.

2010-06-17 | Creative shuttering strategy for parking garage slab
By adopting a custom solution using systems components, Harsco Infrastructure has enormously speeded up the construction of an underground parking garage in Koblenz, Germany. A movable joist form with folding side forms made of the crane-independent Rasto/Takko system rationalized the pouring of roughly 2,400 m of joists. It was combined with the beam-free Topec slab formwork system, two large panels of which fitted precisely between the in each case 100 m long and 1 m high joists. The outcome was a slab shuttering rate that even surprised the contractor consortium.

2009-10-28 | Novel steel frame table form boosts efficiency
It cuts labor costs by about a quarter, makes do with half as much crane time and is capable of slashing transport and logistical costs by up to 70 percent. These are the selling points of Topmax, the world’s first steel-frame table form, manufactured by Hünnebeck. But have the first practical assignments lived up to these claims? In three entirely different projects in Hamburg, Berlin and Dresden, the innovative product has been put through its paces in daily use. The verdict: Surfaces can be shuttered quickly with Topmax table forms, and completely without nails.
